Senior Support Worker / Team Leader
Location: Rotherham, Yorkshire
Salary: 14.30 – 15.36 per hour
Working Hours: Full Time, 2 days on / 4 days off rolling rota
Pay per Sleep: £50 per sleep
Service: Children's Home
Service Users: YPs aged 7–18, Complex Needs, Trauma, EBD
Qualifications
Required:
NVQ/Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Essential)
Experience: Minimum 1 year in children's residential care

- Ratio of staff to children: Supportive staffing structure
This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Support Worker / Team Leader who is passionate about supporting children and young people and confident in leading shifts within a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop positive relationships with young people, families and professionals
- Lead shifts within the home and supervise staff
- Support and implement care plans and risk assessments
- Promote education, emotional wellbeing and daily living skills
- Manage challenging behaviours calmly and effectively
- Maintain accurate and high‑quality documentation
- You do not hold a full UK driving licence and have no access to a car
- You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care which is not deemed equivalent
- You only have Healthcare NHS CQC or Nursery Practitioner experience
- You require sponsorship (sponsorship not available)
Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
