Ward B4 - Healthcare of the elderly is an exciting new 27bedded inpatient ward we are currently looking for an experienced nurse to undertake this exciting opportunity as Nurse Team Manager Band 7 to join andlead our team. We specialise in Care of the Elderly, operating under aprogressive nurse-led pull model. This is a unique opportunity to develop andshape patient flow, drive quality improvement, and empower a multidisciplinary team in delivering outstanding care to older adults.

We are looking for passionate, hardworking and friendly

Senior Nurses to support the the Matron, you will be the advocates for the Matron in their absence and ensure care is delivered according to trustpolicies and procedures. You will coordinate the ward providing effective and consistent leadership to junior members of staff.

Main

duties of the job

Maintaina high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.

Responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking andadministration. Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, youwill motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.

Person Specification Knowledge
  • Management training
  • Commitment to continuous personal development for revalidation NMC
  • Policies, practices and procedures e.g. NHS national policies, standards, requirements and directions that relate to measuring and improving the quality and safety of patient care
Experience
  • Recruitment and selection experience
  • Presenting complex information to large groups
  • Nursing knowledge and experience in Care of the Elderly
Qualifications
  • Current level one NMC registration
  • Relevant learning beyond registration
  • Evidence of Academic achievement, working towards Degree level of study
  • Teaching/Mentorship Qualification
