Madiba is an established provider of complex care in Yorkshire, dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 7‑18 years old and striving to change the way they are looked after.
What will I be doing as a Waking Night Support Worker?- Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies
- Contributing to the young persons care plans and any risk assessments, supporting with implementation and reviews
- Supporting young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing
- Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required
- We welcome applications from people who have previous experience in a children’s residential setting or similar role
- Ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly
- Ability to work independently, manage risk and use initiative
- A full UK driving licence
- Must be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples workforce would be great but is not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends – our shifts are 22:30pm‑08:00am with a 4 nights on/4 nights off rotation
