The Groom Room Bramley is a vibrant, customer-focused barbershop known for quality men’s grooming and a welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on great service, skilled techniques, and a loyal client base. We’re now looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Barber to join our team and begin a rewarding career in barbering.
Role OverviewAs an Apprentice Barber, you’ll receive hands‑on training in all aspects of barbering while supporting our experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about hair and grooming to learn real skills, build confidence, and grow within the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior barbers with daily tasks and client service
- Learn and practice haircutting, styling, shaving, and grooming techniques
- Greet and chat with clients to ensure a friendly, professional experience
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the shop
- Help with washing, preparing tools, and restocking products
- Assist in creating social media content for Instagram
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
- Passion for hair, style, and customer service
- Structured on‑the‑job training with experienced barbers
- Real client experience in a busy barbershop

Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent Barber position at The Groom Room Bramley, with opportunities to build your career, advanced training, and progress within the business.
TrainingDelivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete a Professional Barbering Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Qualifications requiredGCSE maths and English at Grade 4 or above – Desirable

Working week40-48 Hours per week
Tues – Thu 10am – 8pm
Fri – 9am – 8pm
Sat – 8am – 5pm
