An opportunity has arisen to join Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Councils Drainage Team. The role of the team is to manage the drainage of the Highway Network, act as Lead Local Flood Authority managing surface water flood risk and carry out all the other drainage related functions of the Council.

The post holder will work in a multi-disciplined team to carry out drainage maintenance, install new drainage assets and aid the public in septic tank and cesspool cleansing. The role will also involve aspects of flood recovery in times of flooding events.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team who will play a part in all the drainage functions of the team. Including the willingness to work outside of the working week in times of flooding.

• A NQF Level 2 qualification e.g. GCSEs Grades 4-9, NVQs Level 2, GNVQs Intermediate, City and Guilds Craft or Part 2 qualification or equivalent is an essential requirement.
• A valid current driving licence essential.
