Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant in Rotherham looking for a rewarding role in a supportive primary school?

We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a welcoming primary school in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This role involves providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning and thrive both academically and socially.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience seeking a long-term position in a Rotherham primary school.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs
• Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
• Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans
• Promote inclusion and positive learning behaviours
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents

This SEN TA role in Rotherham requires patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant job in Rotherham, you should have:

• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs)
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, nurturing approach
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
