Full time (37 hours each week, all year round). Temporary until January 2027. £28,019 a year + benefits. Rotherham College, Rotherham (with occasional travel to other sites as/when required).
About the RoleIn this exciting role you will be focused on providing excellent careers, employability information, advice and guidance to a targeted cohort of students in their progression. As a key member of our careers team you will deliver a high level of careers information, advice and guidance supporting students with their choices in regards to their career progression and set career targets to support students to positive destinations through varied initiatives.
You will work collaboratively within Rotherham campus and with external partners to advocate on behalf of students and reinforce our partnership network. You will provide students with the information, opportunities and experiences they need to make decisions on future studies or employment at the end of their time s is a role in which you can genuinely change lives through offering students the support and guidance they need to help them decide the steps they need to take in order to help them achieve their aspirations.
Responsibilities- Deliver careers information, advice and guidance to targeted students to help them secure the best outcomes.
- Advocate on behalf of students and reinforce partnership network.
- Provide students with information, opportunities and experiences for future studies or employment.
- Collaborate with the Students Support team and refer students as required, e.g., for financial or emotional issues.
- Experience in Information, Advice and Guidance related work with students aged 14‑16, 16‑18, 19+ and learners with High Needs.
- Experience creating and delivering innovative resources to groups.
- Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or willingness to undertake). Level 3 in Advice and Guidance (or working towards).
- Knowledge of qualifications within Further Education and progression opportunities available.
