BSL Level 3​/Support Assistant

BSL Support

Minimum of Level 3 or Level 3 Qualified/Unqualified

Daily Rate – £120 – £140 dependent on experience

Full-time (Mon – Fri)

In this role you will supporting 11 – 18 year old pupils who have a range of hearing needs across the school. The school are ideally looking for a learning support assistant who holds a BSL qualification (level 3 or 4 desirable) and a knowledge of Makaton as you will be required to translate spoken language into BSL competently within a mainstream classroom.

• BSL Level 3 or Level 4
• Previous experience in behavioural control within a school, youth work, care, or similar setting
• Have strong English skills, be able to adapt spoken and written English to make materials accessible for Deaf students
• Calm, empathetic, and solution-focused attitude
• Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
• Proof of right to work in the UK (required to apply)
