About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students in the classroom and in one-to-one settings, helping them engage with lessons, access the curriculum, and develop academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide hands‑on assistance, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students in both classroom and 1:1 settings to help them fully engage with learning activities.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and preparation of resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence in students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, engagement, and behaviour.
  • Provide personalised support for students with additional learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to deliver holistic support.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience supporting students with SEN or in a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility to support students effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
