Job Title : Cover Supervisor

Location : Rotherham (S65, S66)

Pay rate : Upto £130 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date : January 2026

Contract Type : Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

Are you confident managing a classroom and keeping students engaged when the teacher is absent?

GSL Education are hiring a Cover Supervisor (CS) to work across schools in Rotherham (S65 & S66), ensuring lessons run smoothly and pupils remain focused throughout the day.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver set work, maintain a positive classroom environment, and keep pupils focused. This role suits someone who enjoys working in schools and can adapt quickly across year groups and subjects.

• Deliver set lesson materials to classes of varying ages.
• Promote positive behaviour and handle classroom routines confidently.
• Encourage pupils to complete the work provided and remain engaged.
• Follow school policies to ensure consistency across the day.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil conduct and participation.
• Maintain a calm, structured environment during cover sessions.

• Strong communication and the ability to lead a classroom with confidence.
• A flexible, reliable attitude and willingness to take on different classes.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
• A professional commitment to safeguarding and school expectations.
