Reeson Education are recruiting a confident KS3 Long-Term Sickness Cover Teacher for a structured and focused school environment in Dinnington (S25). This role suits someone dependable, disciplined, and able to take ownership of a classroom while delivering continuity, stability, and firm expectations.
About the RoleAs a Long-Term Sickness Cover Teacher, you will take responsibility for KS3 classes, delivering planned schemes of work while maintaining routines, behaviour standards, and academic momentum. You will provide calm, consistent leadership that ensures pupils remain focused and on track throughout the cover period.
Key Responsibilities as a Long-Term Sickness Cover Teacher- KS3 Instruction: Deliver structured, engaging lessons aligned with existing curriculum plans.
- Classroom Leadership: Maintain firm routines, clear boundaries, and consistent expectations.
- Behaviour Management: Apply established behaviour frameworks with confidence and authority.
- Progress Monitoring: Track academic progress, engagement, and behaviour accurately.
- Professional Coordination: Work effectively with support staff, heads of department, and senior leadership.
- Proven experience teaching KS3 in mainstream, SEMH, or alternative provision settings.
- A strong classroom presence with clear, direct communication.
- Confidence managing behaviour and maintaining standards from day one.
- A reliable, organised, and professional approach to long-term cover.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
- Competitive daily rate of £160‑£230 depending on experience.
