Join our client in their Workshop Maintenance Team as a Workshop LV Technician / MOT Tester. This role involves maintaining a fleet of over 200 council vehicles and grounds-maintenance equipment. If you have a passion for vehicle maintenance and a current MOT Testing licence, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct up to 8 MOT/Taxi Compliance tests per day to DVSA standards.
• Diagnose faults, inspect, repair, and prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Utilise modern diagnostic tools to work on a diverse range of vehicles.
• Update records in the Taxi Compliance database.
• Attend to breakdowns and accident-damaged vehicles as required.
• Assist with new vehicle inspections and vehicle decommissioning.
• You will be part of a supportive team environment with opportunities for skill development as new technologies are introduced.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Current MOT Testing Licence.
• Light Vehicle Inspection qualification or substantial relevant work experience.
• City & Guilds/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proficiency in computer usage.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience in Taxi compliance testing is desirable but not essential.
