AboutThe Role
Rotherham Council is seeking a motivated and organised Administration Assistant to join Housing Property Services, working within the Housing Investment Team.
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our Housing Investment Team, providing essential administrative support to the Stock Surveying Team. Working closely with the Stock Surveying Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of a wide range of property-related projects and programmes.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication and administrative skills who is looking to develop their experience in a busy, customer‑focused service.
In This Role, You Will- Liaise with tenants, colleagues across the Council, and external stakeholders to arrange appointments and update team diaries.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring information received is checked, logged, and kept up to date across our IT systems and databases.
- Raise purchase orders and manage stationery supplies to support day‑to‑day team operations.
- Provide administrative support across key Housing Investment work streams, including:
- Stock Condition Surveys
- Tenant Alterations
- Fire‑Damaged Properties
- Structural Works
- Environmental Improvements
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Can communicate confidently with customers and internal teams.
- Is comfortable using IT systems and maintaining accurate data.
- Can prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Enjoys being part of a team and supporting wider service objectives.
