Overview

Customer Service/Sales role at The Home Depot. The position focuses on providing fast, friendly service by actively assisting customers, learning product information, and helping customers select and complete projects.

Stores departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental. Job types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using company tools and provide information to customers to support selling an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department; understand basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following safety policies and standards, completing safety training, correcting hazards, or reporting them to the Manager on Duty.
• Work in cooperation with Department Supervisors, other associates in their department, and across departments.
