On-Demand Details

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime app. Attendance and engagement are important: pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours).

If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After offer, you will attend a Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule. After training, use the myTime app to pick shifts.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT — Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
  • Assist guests to solve their specific needs; engage in welcoming interactions.
  • Know tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
  • Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
  • Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
  • Inform guests about brand launches, store activities and events; promote Target Loyalty programs and direct sign-up as needed. Be familiar with fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate, and use them.
  • Explain and assist with Wallet and other Target App features.
  • Handle returns according to policies; escalate to leaders when needed.
  • De-escalate situations with leaders as needed to recover the guest shopping experience.
  • Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
  • Commit to safety policies, practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
  • All other duties based on business needs.

Physical & Work Environment
  • Accurately handle cash and support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance.
  • Flexible shift availability to meet store needs; responsive to shift pickup requests.
  • Potential exposure to varying temperatures and environment depending on duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
  • Must be able to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
