Overview

Opened in April 2017, Cielo Grande Veterinary Center serves the Roswell, NM area for all pet-related needs. We have a staff with decades of animal experience and a well-equipped facility to accommodate appointments and walk-ins Monday through Friday. We are the highest rated veterinary hospital in Chaves County.

We primarily focus on companion animals but won’t turn away an animal in need. We offer wellness and sick appointments all with urgent care services available. Our doctors are supported by a skilled team of veterinary technicians and client service representatives. This role offers up to $150k in sign-on bonuses.

Position purpose

We are a two-doctor practice that loves a fast-paced, steady lifestyle. We are looking for associate veterinarians of all experience levels to join us.

Cielo Grande Veterinary Center is located in Roswell, New Mexico. The area offers a big sky and four-season weather, with concerts, festivals, art, and outdoor recreation nearby, including Sierra Blanca Peak, Bottomless Lakes, White Sands National Park, and Lincoln National Forest.

Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect/interpret diagnostic samples.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Provide counsel on pet end-of-life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; require assistance for heavier lifts.
