SALARY RANGES: Application Analyst - $37.93 to $61.77/hr sr. Application Analyst - $43.91 to $71.50/hr.
Position SummaryUnder general supervision of the Chief Information Officer or designee, provides integrated, advanced technical, development and user support to divisions. Researches, analyzes, and defines complex user problems and requirements, independently develops comprehensive application specifications, and develops and maintains solutions and associated procedures. Provides a wide range of technical support, problem resolution, application development and educational services to users on both hardware and software issues.
Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Two years’ experience in software analysis, software implementation, troubleshooting and customer support to include at least one year of experience in support of the area of specialization (Applications, Web Development or GIS).
- Must possess or have ability to obtain within first sixty days of employment and must maintain a valid New Mexico Class D driver’s license.
- Successful completion of thorough background investigation, including FBI fingerprint check. Must not have been convicted of a felony.
Minimum Qualifications for Sr. Application Analyst
- Additional three years of experience in enterprise software support in area of expertise.
- Must obtain current ITIL Foundation certification within 6 months of employment.
- Successful completion of at least one of the following courses within 6 months of employment:
- Project Stakeholder & Communications Management
- Project Risk Management
- Project Management for Non-Project Managers
- Certification or certified completion of coursework in Database Administration.
- Certification or documented completion of at least two of these within area of expertise:
- Geographic Information Systems Professional
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- Introduction to Transact-SQL
- Transact-SQL for Developers
- Web development/Python/Java Programming
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for Report Developers
- Analyzing Data with Microsoft Power BI
- Web Application and Software Architecture 101
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Supervisory or project lead experience.
- Experience with supporting areas of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Public Safety Solutions.
- Experience with other IT Application Analyst/Developer subject matter area technology.
- Experience with SQL Server or SQL programming or equivalent.
- Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, M365 or equivalent certification.
- Geographic Information Systems Professional Certification.
- Experience integrating and supporting Microsoft cloud-based products and tools.
- PMP Certification or equivalent
