New Mexico Rehabilitation Center (NMRC) is a Joint Commission accredited specialty hospital providing rehabilitation services to citizens of the State of New Mexico.
Salary$18.15 - $27.23 Hourly
$37,752 - $56,628 Annually
This position is a Pay Band C3
Direct Care treats patients with Chemical Dependency and Medical Rehabilitation needs.
How does it get done?Taking vital signs, collect specimens, transfer patients in/out of bed, lifting and bending required, report pertinent findings, abnormal vital signs, change in behavior and functional activities, check for skin breakdown/swelling. Has the ability to be rotated to any shift or unit. Must withstand prolonged hours of work. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Read, write, and comprehend information and follow orders/directives.
Perform basic mathematical computations. Think logically and effectively analyze situations and use good judgment.
NMRC is a Specialty Hospital that treats patients with Chemical Dependency and Medical Rehabilitation needs.
Ideal CandidateAbility to perform essential functions, perform work within the physical demands, possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
Minimum QualificationHigh School Diploma and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment RequirementsEmployment is subject to post‑offer pre‑employment criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and must complete a defensive driving course. Must be able to read, write and comprehend English, including warnings on cleaning products and hazardous materials.
Working ConditionsThis position will provide services in a Specialty Hospital setting involving extended periods of walking, sitting, standing, bending and lifting from 0 to 100+. Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to VDT and extensive personal computer and telephone usage. Incumbent may be exposed to potentially violent patients in volatile situations requiring crisis intervention.
