This is a mission-critical position within our removal defense practice. We need an attorney who can independently represent and manage high-stakes matters from strategy to courtroom advocacy.
This is not a training role
. We are seeking a confident, courtroom-ready professional who brings depth, judgment, and precision to every case and has at least 15–20 Individual Calendar Hearings under their belt.

- Have at least 3 years of hands-on removal defense experience as primary counsel

This Role Is Not a Fit If:
- You need foundational training in removal defense
- You have handled fewer than 15–20 Individual Calendar Hearings as primary attorney
- Courtroom & Legal Advocacy
- Represent clients before EOIR and USCIS
- Handle asylum, cancellation of removal, bond hearings, and other relief
- Conduct Master Calendar and Individual Calendar Hearings
- Draft and file motions, briefs, and legal memoranda, including Bond and Habeas motions
- Prepare and submit appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals
- Work with country conditions experts and develop evidentiary records
- Communicate professionally with ICE, DHS, and EOIR
- Client Service
- Conduct in-depth client interviews and case evaluations
- Develop clear, strategic, and realistic case plans
- Maintain compassionate, timely, and transparent client communication
- Ensure accurate case management and documentation
- Follow internal systems and quality-control processes
Must-Have Qualifications
- Active U.S. law license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of removal defense attorney experience
- At least 15–20 Individual Calendar Hearings
, particularly asylum-focused - Demonstrated success in contested removal cases
- Experience drafting and filing BIA appeals
- Strong litigation skills and courtroom presence
- Ability to self-manage in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working with legal teams
- Preferred to be based in Atlanta, GA or nearby
, with flexibility to travel for court appearances when required
- Fluency in English is required
- Experience in high-volume immigration practices
- Familiarity with VAWA, U visas, T visas, or other humanitarian relief
