Job Summary
Represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in GA judicial residential foreclosure. This position includes, but is not limited to, making appearances in state and federal court for routine and uncontested hearings. Representing clients in both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title curative/ title disputes, HOA/COA issues and other matters.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage case load of GA judicial foreclosure matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
- Appear in court and argue motions and appear at trials necessary to the successful completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title curative/ title disputes, HOA/COA issues and other matters.
- Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution.
- Analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents; draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses; prepare for and attend trials.
- Conduct legal research and writing.
- J.D. degree, licensed in Georgia and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
- Minimum 2 years motion practice experience.
- Minimum 2 years courtroom experience.
- Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law.
- Knowledge of Georgia Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
- Previous experience with foreclosures involving residential and commercial property.
- Effectively manage time and priorities.
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral form.
- Ability to work independently or in a group/team setting.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to interact and communicate well with clients, staff, peers and management of all levels.
The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentNormal office working conditions, with quiet to moderate noise level within the work environment.
Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive compensation package, which includes a salary commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Salary: $100,000-$120,000 annually.
