Finance Lead – Manufacturing

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established manufacturing company in Atlanta seeking a Finance Lead – Manufacturing. Position Overview

The Finance Lead – Manufacturing will serve as a key business partner to plant and operations leadership, providing financial insight that drives performance, efficiency, and cost optimization. This individual will act as the subject matter expert on product costing and manufacturing finance, supporting reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner closely with plant and operations leadership to support financial decision‑making
  • Lead reporting, analysis, and performance tracking across manufacturing operations
  • Review and analyze all aspects of product costs and standard cost structures
  • Drive and track cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor operational and financial performance
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support lean initiatives
  • Provide actionable insights that improve profitability and operational efficiency
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance
  • Expert‑level knowledge of standard cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience driving cost savings initiatives and process improvements
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, KPI tracking, and dashboard development
  • Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to partner effectively with plant leadership
  • Ability to think strategically while also working hands‑on with detailed data and analysis
  • Demonstrated history of job stability
