The archery specialist co‑leads the safe implementation of the archery program for rising 4th‑7th grade campers at Camp Kingfisher. All staff at Camp Kingfisher are hired to:

• Lead campers as a positive, caring role model
• Provide campers with fun, positive outdoor learning experiences
• Help campers grow and learn through challenges

• Develop and lead archery curriculum for 4th‑7th grade campers with excellence and enthusiasm
• Interact and develop relationships with campers
• Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff
• Attend weekly camp staff meetings and specialist meetings
• Assist in other program areas as a substitute counselor as needed (waterfront, pool, all camp activities, and arts and crafts as directed)
• Complete additional duties as assigned
• Contribute to verbal/written evaluations and communication as requested
• Keep track of and record hours worked, requesting director’s approval for any additional hours prior to work

• Willingness to work outdoors during the summer season
• Must be able to lift over 20 pounds
• Valid driver’s license or state issued

• Interest and experience (preferred) in the sport of archery
• Experience (and passion for) teaching or working with children
• Current archery safety and teaching training, course provided
• Current First Aid/CPR certification, course provided
• Background in environmental education, natural history, education, childcare, or camps
