Manufacturing Engineer - Lean / Six Sigma / PLC

Hours:

8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday | 8:30am-1:30pm Friday (Days)

Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays

Due to continued business expansion, we are seeking a talented and driven Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing plastics-based manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running in a company that actively supports career progression and internal development.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director (with exposure to the Manufacturing Director), you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and manufacturing performance.

• Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Apply Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred) methodologies
• Drive Kaizen and Continuous Improvement activities
• Support PLC programming and process optimisation
• Deliver OPEX improvements using tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement frameworks
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and product launches
• Improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost performance

• Engineering degree or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• 3-5 years' experience within a regulated industry
• Background in plastics manufacturing
• Experience with in medical devices highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence tools
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
