Primary School Teaching Assistant (SEN) in Rochdale (OL16). A Specialist Provision attached to a mainstream Primary (OL16). Multiple full-time and part-time roles available. Short-term and long-term positions available. Varied start dates. Competitive rate 90 - 110 per day.
A Specialist provision within a mainstream Primary school in Rochdale require SEN Teaching Assistants. The school requires staff on short-term and long-term contracts which could be either on a full-time or a part-time basis. The school cater for primary pupils with MLD, ASC, SCLN, SpLD, Visual impairments and HI. They are looking for individuals who are passionate to making a difference with children in Specialist settings.
Within these roles, as an SEN Teaching Assistant, your job will involve creating positive relationships with the pupils and encouraging positive choices and behaviour. You will be expected to provide general support within the classes and work collaboratively with other LSAs and the class teachers. Responsibilities- Provide general support within classes and collaborate with other Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and class teachers.
- Create positive relationships with pupils and encourage positive choices and behaviour.
- Cover short-term and long-term contracts on both full-time and part-time bases as required.
- Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a specialist provision attached to a mainstream primary.
- Long-term roles:
Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm or 8.30am-4.00pm) with commitment to the school and potential for a permanent role. - Short-term roles:
Part-time and/or full-time positions with varied days (e.g., 8.30am-1.00pm, 12.00pm-3.30pm, 8.30am-3.30pm, 4.00pm) to cover absences or scheduled duties.
- Keen to work with children in specialist settings; experience is welcome but not essential.
- Experience with additional needs is desirable (e.g., MLD, ASC, SCLN, SpLD, Visual impairments, HI) but not mandatory.
- Open to graduates seeking experience or individuals with support/care/youth work backgrounds.
