Job Title: Bid Writer
Location: Ross‑on‑Wye
Hours: 24 hours per week
Contract Type: Part‑Time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000 per annum
- Write, edit and review high‑quality bid responses aligned to client requirements and scoring methodologies
- Manage and complete PQQs, SQs and tender submissions using Easy PQQ
- Analyse tender documentation to identify key themes, risks and win strategies
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the business to gather technical input
- Ensure all submissions are compliant, accurate and submitted on time
- Support continuous improvement of bid content, templates and responses
- Stay up to date with best practice in bid writing and public sector procurement
We are looking to employ an experienced Bid Writer to support our growing pipeline of opportunities. This role offers genuine flexibility and can be remote, part‑time or full‑time, depending on your experience and ability to independently manage and respond to bid questions to a high standard. If you are confident producing compliant, compelling responses and are comfortable working to deadlines, we are open to shaping the role around your lifestyle.
Experience with Easy PQQ or similar portals will be highly advantageous.
- Proven bid writing experience (minimum 5 years) ideally within regulated, technical or service‑led environments
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive and client‑focused responses
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
- The ability to interpret questions, scoring criteria and client requirements accurately
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, comfortable working to multiple deadlines
- A proactive, self‑sufficient mindset, with the confidence to manage your own workload
- Previous knowledge of the water hygiene industry is desirable but not essential
- Experience of Easy PQQ is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate
