The Finance Department at EmPRO Insurance Company plays a vital role in enabling sound business decisions through advanced analytics, effective communication, and strong cross-functional collaboration across the enterprise. As a Finance Intern, you will leverage your technical and analytical skills to support financial reporting, drive decision-making processes, and contribute to key departmental projects.
Dates: June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026 (10 Weeks)
Location: Onsite in Roslyn, NY
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and update financial reports and models to track key financial metrics, accompanied by written narratives that explain outcomes and provide recommendations for finance leadership.
- Utilize standardized mathematical concepts in data analyses and problem-solving efforts.
- Leverage technical expertise to enhance infrastructure, automate processes, and apply technology to increase efficiency within the department.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and key drivers, presenting findings to finance leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and achieve project goals.
- Maintain organized records and documentation.
- Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in mathematical and analytical thinking with a solid understanding of financial and business applications.
- Experience or aptitude in financial modeling, reporting, and forecasting.
- Clear and concise communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and One Note.
- Hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing Insurance company.
