The Senior Payroll Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for a large employee population, including biweekly and seasonal weekly payroll cycles. This role supports payroll reconciliation, reporting, and tax compliance while partnering with HR, Finance, and operational teams to resolve payroll issues and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Process biweekly and weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Review payroll data and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support payroll tax deposits, quarterly filings, and W-2 processing
- Maintain employee payroll records and process approved changes
- Collaborate with HR and internal teams to address payroll questions
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with payroll taxes, compliance, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP or similar) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet payroll deadlines
