Job Title: Program Coordinator – Parent Education
Status: Full Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt), 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Roseville, MI. 48066
Salary: $21.00 per hour

The Program Coordinator will successfully coordinate and facilitate Parent Education programming for the agency. The position will also implement programming aimed at generating awareness on the preventability of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). The Program Coordinator will be familiar with community resources that support child development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about increasing parenting skills throughout the community.
Responsibilities- Organize, facilitate, and coordinate CARE of SEM Parent Education Programming.
- Complete FASD education and pre-screenings to eligible adults and children.
- Market parenting and FASD programming to schools, community, and faith-based organizations located in communities served by CARE of SEM.
- Ensures assigned paperwork is completed and maintained in accordance with funding source standards and CARE of SEM policy and procedures.
- Provide presentations on general substance use issues and CARE of SEM's services as needed.
- Disseminate substance use information at health and public fairs, school open houses and other community events as requested.
- Establish and maintain liaison relationships with appropriate agencies regarding substance use prevention and parenting skills.
- Knowledgeable of national and local substance use and prevention statistics and demonstrates the ability to apply current trends to service delivery.
- Experience working with families, running curriculum-based programming, data collection and analyzation, and program development is required.
- Lived experience as a parent or caregiver is preferred.
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator license.
- Completion of ICHAT check, National and State Sex Offender Registry Check, and Central Registry Check.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor Degree holders are encouraged to apply.
- Must be certified as a Prevention Consultant or Prevention Specialist (CPC-R or CPS) or be eligible for a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation upon hire.
