Security Technician
We are seeking an experienced Security Technician with 5+ years of hands‑on expertise in commercial security systems, including intrusion systems, access control, CCTV, and IP‑based video solutions. Candidates with related experience in voice/data, low‑voltage, or security service industries are encouraged to apply. Experience in inspections, troubleshooting, testing, programming, and repairing integrated security and fire alarm systems is highly desirable. This role requires an advanced understanding of networking and IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Install security, access control, and CCTV systems in accordance with company standards and applicable codes.
- Validate system performance by testing equipment, connections, and signals; diagnose and resolve issues as needed.
- Conduct site surveys to determine installation requirements and design equipment and wiring layouts.
- Maintain accurate documentation for fire inspections, installations, and service activities.
- Provide superior customer service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and building long‑term client relationships.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality of security‑related information.
- Use and maintain proficiency with OnSSI Ocularis Video Surveillance systems (required).
- Minimum 5 years as an Installation or Service Technician in the security or fire alarm industry.
- Strong knowledge of low‑voltage installation, pulling and terminating cable, troubleshooting, and system programming.
- Advanced understanding of networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems (Windows 7, 10, and Server).
- Thorough knowledge of Ohm’s Law and low‑voltage circuits.
- Experience working with DMP, Honeywell, Ademco, Bosch systems.
- Access control systems and programming.
- CCTV installation, NVR/Server configuration, IP and megapixel cameras.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- California State Fire Alarm/Life Safety Technician License/Certification (preferred).
- Manufacturer certifications (plus).
- Conduit installation and bending experience (plus).
- Strong work ethic, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, well‑organized.
- Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 – $34.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
