SUPERVISES: There are no direct reports with this position.
POSITION SUMMARYUnder general supervision the Mechanic, Workforce Inclusion uses computer programs to diagnose, report, and maintain commercial vehicles and related records. Employees in this job classification are responsible for preventative maintenance, ongoing inspections, and minor and major repairs for commercial vehicles. This job class requires knowledge of procedures, tools, and equipment used in the trade, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and organizing and managing competing priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Meet driving qualifications as defined by PRIDE Industries.
- Demonstrate the correct use, disposal, and storage of potentially hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of and training in the use of diagnostic, preventative, and repair operations, techniques, procedures, tools, and equipment used in trade.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking to identify problems to solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, and written.
- Demonstrate basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.
High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES REQUIRED- Dept of Trans Medical
- Valid CDL w/PAX ED
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
- Walking and standing
- Stooping, bending, and crawling
- Pushing, pulling, and lifting to 35 pounds
Work is performed in a shop environment and the employee may be exposed to exhaust fumes, potentially hazardous materials and/or fluids, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat when performing roadside assistance.
