SummaryThe School Specialist position is responsible for generating new business through prospecting leads. Duties and responsibilities performed by the School Specialist position are intended to help drive sales efforts and revenue generation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Prospect, contact, and educate school representatives to help build out their kitchen infrastructure.
- Recommend and sell kitchen equipment that is consistent with program needs and budgets.
- Log all relevant emails, phone calls and meetings in Salesforce on a weekly basis.
- Available to answer and fulfill customer requests and needs.
- 3-5 years’ experience selling to nutrition services directors or school cafeteria personnel
- Ability to be personable, relate to, and energetically interact with people to develop relationships.
- Ability to successfully multi-task, prioritize, and execute.
- Ability to be extraordinarily resourceful both independently and collaboratively
- Driven to get the job done with a can-do attitude
- Professional and effective verbal and written communication
- Able to travel to targeted school districts around Southern California
- Salesforce and Auto Quotes experience or ability to learn a new software program.
The position has no current supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as: computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and works under fluorescent lighting. Noise levels are moderate.
Physical Demands- Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) wrists, hands, fingers
- Able to remain in a stationary position for 50 percent of the time
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to hear, read, and speak in order to communicate with employees, customers, vendors, etc.
