ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE - Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

They enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

As a General Merchandise Expert, a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests who need assistance to help solve their specific needs
• Thank guests and express appreciation for their visit
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and put up promotional signs for GM areas
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
• Change prices, set up and maintain merchandise, and maintain inventory accuracy as directed
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work in a safe manner; follow safety policies, report hazards and address where possible
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while ensuring compliance with laws
• All other duties based on business needs
