Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
  • When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
  • Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
  • Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet.
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.
  • Assist with returns following register prompts; partner with Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner at all times and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where relevant).
  • All other duties based on business needs.

Basic Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally (with or without assistance).
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and other conditions depending on duties such as Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
