Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T0267) rting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $18.25 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
- When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
- Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet.
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.
- Assist with returns following register prompts; partner with Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner at all times and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where relevant).
- All other duties based on business needs.

- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; adapt to multiple devices.

- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks within established time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally (with or without assistance).
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and other conditions depending on duties such as Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
