Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Senior Land Project Manager to join the team. In this position you will play a key role in identifying and negotiating the purchases of new communities for Richmond American Homes. Responsible for all aspects of site development including, but not limited to, land planning, budgeting, contracting, scheduling, construction management, and awarding of land planning consultant contracts.

This responsibility includes ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures in addition to any municipality regulations.

This position is requested to provide field supervision for multiple development projects that we have underway. The responsibilities will include maintaining the budgets, schedules, and coordinating field work with the developers, HOA companies, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Works with the Land Development team to manage site development and maintain schedules of projects from small single-family developments to larger master planned communities.
  • Manages numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Analyzes site data and due diligence to effectively anticipate and resolve potential obstacles or issues that may arise in the land development process.
  • Develops and monitors the budget for all aspects of land development from initial planning stage through site development.
  • Interfaces regularly with municipalities, homeowners, and adjacent property owners.
  • Formulates, prepares the bid and awards the land planning consultant contracts.
  • Coordinated and directs a team of consultants in the planning, platting, and entitlements of raw ground for single-family developments.
  • Sits as a Board member of Home Owners Associations.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in Land Acquisition, Land Development, Land Brokering or Land Sales.
  • Reading of civil engineering plans.
  • Computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, Outlook and MS Project programs are required.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $145,000 - $160,000
  • FLSA Status:
    Exempt
