Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HR / Recruitment Consultant

The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience and be able to do in-house payroll.

- Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Manage certified payroll reporting in compliance with prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and other governing regulations.
- Validate timecards, job costing codes, deductions, and wage tables.
- Maintain employee payroll records, benefits deductions, garnishments, and multi-state tax requirements.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management, auditors, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with HR, project managers, and field supervisors on payroll discrepancies.
- Participate in internal and external payroll compliance audits.
- 2–5+ years of payroll experience, preferably within a construction, trades, or general contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of certified payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and union agreements.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 is a plus
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume payroll and strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
