Job Title: Physician Assistant Roseville Urgent Care/Emergency (Evening/32 or 36)

Location: Roseville, CA 95661

Shift: Evening 32 or 36 hours/week

Week 1: Sun 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon, Thu, Fri 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Week 2: Mon, Tue, Wed 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Sat 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• The Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality, efficient, team-based, patient-focused care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities may include managing patients in the office, hospital, ED, or perioperative setting, first assisting in surgeries, performing urgent care specific procedures, and supporting departmental operations. Evening and weekend work hours are required, and the PA must be able to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review patient history, and compile medical data
• Administer or order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs) and interpret results
• Perform therapeutic procedures: suturing, wound care, injections, immunizations, infection management
• Perform urgent care and department-specific diagnostic or therapeutic procedures
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document all care in EMR
• Educate and counsel patients and families on preventive care and treatment plans
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• First assist in surgeries or perform other applicable procedures
• Round on inpatients and conduct pre-/post-operative evaluations
• Support supervising physicians with on-call responsibilities as applicable
• Collaborate with clinical teams on performance improvement initiatives

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department (1 year minimum required; some listings indicate preference for 3 years)
• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
• California Physician Assistant License Required at hire
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) Required at hire
• Physician Assistant National Certificate (e.g., NCCPA) Required at hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

• Fluoroscopy Permit required or must be obtained within 18 months (Orthopedics, IR, Radiation Oncology only)
• Department-specific procedure competency may be required
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
• Must be willing to work onsite (Roseville or Folsom if needed)
