Speech Language Pathologist

Bayhealth, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment to patients in their homes. The role involves developing and coordinating the plan of care and teaching patients, families, and caregivers preventive and rehabilitative procedures.

$50.00/yr – $70.00/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience)

• Conduct appropriate evaluations, assess home environment and identify equipment needs related to speech/language function.
• Identify functional speech defects and develop a plan of care to improve patient function.
• Administer speech therapy programs using specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment.
• Recommend communication devices/aids as required.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Participate in case conferences, in‑service and other meetings as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support delivery of speech‑language pathology services.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in speech‑language pathology (SLP) with required licensing or equivalent experience.
• Licensed as a speech‑language pathologist by the State in which services are furnished, or if the state does not license, completed 350 supervised clinical practicum hours, performed ≥9 months of supervised full‑time SLP services, and passed a national examination.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in SLP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Licensed driver with a functional, insured automobile as required by state or organization.
