- Analyzes, structures, underwrites and services a variety of business and individual loans, both secured and unsecured. Provides initial credit screening of new loan opportunities. Works closely with team members to deliver soundly structured credit solutions to existing and prospective bank clients. Structures and underwrites loan requests and guides them through the delivery channel. Advocates credit requests through written and verbal presentations.
- Keeps management informed as to the status of loans in their portfolio by collecting/reviewing required financial information and maintaining frequent customer interaction. Responsible for proper risk assessment of all credit requests and loans within their assigned portfolio.
- Provides financial counsel to current and prospective customers and handles primarily new credit requests and more complex requests for existing clients. Understands and adheres to the bank’s policies and procedures while recommending and providing solutions meeting client needs. Complies with all Federal and State bank regulations.
- Structures and underwrites credit requests and prepares credit write-ups for approval, primarily for new-to-bank relationships and more complex requests for existing clients.
- Structures, analyzes, recommends, and presents consumer and commercial credit requests for approval.
- Develops and maintains quality customer relationships (business/personal loans and deposits); calls on existing customers to sustain relationships and provide additional banking products as needed.
- Makes and services a variety of business and individual loans and lines of credit, both secured and unsecured.
- Monitors and stays informed on the status of loans in the assigned portfolio.
- Requests required customer information per loan documents and monitors for covenant compliance, promptly notifying management of any deterioration in the portfolio.
- Reviews loan documentation and cross-references with approved loan requests to ensure accuracy prior to sending to the customer for signature.
- Maintains assigned customer credit quality, net yield on loans and origination/funding of loans consistent with the Bank’s credit policies.
- Maintains complete and accurate loan files, reviewing and preparing for audits.
- Represents the bank at select civic and community functions to develop additional business.
- Provides guidance and direction to junior staff, including mentoring and training of credit analysts.
- Reviews and underwrites customer requests for ACH and RDC where applicable.
- May assist senior lenders as back-up officer or in analyzing credits.
- Complies with Bank policies and all banking regulations including BSA, USA Patriot/CIP, AML and Fair Lending, CRA and Compliance regulations; remains current with compliance training.
- Meets measurable goals and objectives, assigned annually by December 31.
- Performs and assists in other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
