We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to own our full accounting cycle and ensure the day‑to‑day integrity of our financial records for our client in the Roseville area. In this role, you will lead the month‑end close process and independently prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements, including P&L and Balance Sheets, for management review. You will act as the primary point of contact for audits and tax compliance while managing the essential functions of AP, AR, and complex payroll processing.
Your expertise will be vital in performing deep‑diving reconciliations and identifying operational efficiencies through budget tracking and forecasting. This is a high‑impact position perfect for a professional who enjoys managing diverse financial responsibilities with accuracy and independence.

- Full‑Cycle General Ledger Management: Own the entire accounting cycle, ensuring all transactions are accurately coded and comply with GAAP.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Independently generate and analyze P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and monthly reports for management or board review.
- Month‑End and Year‑End Close: Lead the closing process by preparing adjusting journal entries, accruals, and deferrals to ensure the integrity of account balances.
- Complex Reconciliations: Perform deep‑diving reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Audit Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, providing high‑level documentation and explaining financial variances and accounting treatments.
- Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Monitor account receivables, identify operational inefficiencies, and assist with forecast reporting and budget tracking.
- Tax Compliance Oversight: Manage the preparation of 1099s, sales/use tax filings, and county‑specific tax reporting to ensure state and federal compliance.
- Operational Accounting Oversight: Oversee the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely billing, vendor contract management, and cash flow optimization.
- Payroll and HR Administration: Manage complex payroll processing, including timekeeping integration, tax reconciliations, and employee benefit tracking.
