As an Engineering Manager, we rely on your deep understanding of environmental engineering to manage complex capital improvement projects and maintenance of facilities. This is a career-defining opportunity for a licensed California Civil Engineer who can combine strategy, leadership and public service to make a lasting impact on the community.

Normal work schedule:
Monday through Friday.

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee capital improvement and maintenance projects for environmental facilities.
• Develop project budgets, schedules and technical specifications in alignment with city goals.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards and quality assurance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve project objectives and timely delivery.

• Five years of increasingly responsible experience in professional civil or environmental engineering, including two years of administrative responsibility.
• AB:
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major coursework in civil, environmental engineering or a closely related field.

Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment. Possession of a current certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in California by date of application.
