OverviewWSP is seeking a Vice President, Environmental Remediation Engineer to lead environmental consulting efforts across California and the West. The role involves consulting, selling, managing, designing, and implementing environmental multimedia remediation programs for industrial, government, energy, oil & gas, and transportation sectors.
Impact & Responsibilities- Perform business development within Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial sectors for environmental remediation, engineering, and related services.
- Design, oversee, mentor, and direct staff- and project-level engineers.
- Assist in preparation of technical reports and proposals.
- Collaborate with Service Line Leaders, Sector Leads, Principals, and senior-level employees firm-wide.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
- Travel to project sites as needed to execute project goals and business development.
- Meet sales, revenue, and delivery goals.
- BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- California (Civil) Professional Engineer’s License.
- 12+ years of environmental remediation and sales experience.
- Strong work ethic and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management experience and self-starter, team-oriented.
- Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board, and other CalEPA Programs.
- Consulting experience with petroleum contamination cleanups in soil and groundwater including free floating products (LNAPL) and/or chlorinated solvent contamination.
- Experience with soil gas and vapor intrusion issues.
- Developing and managing complex engineering design and design-build projects.
- Oversee remedy construction and operation and maintenance of environmental project work.
- Must pass drug test, physical, background check; valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) preferred.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.

Expected Salary (California): $180,000 – $270,000
