Job Summary
In your role as a Staff Scientist, you will support and manage environmental, stormwater, and wildfire restoration projects in Northern California working with utility, municipal and private industrial clients. Experience in permitting, SWPPPs and BMP design is preferred. We are looking for someone with strong technical writing, organization, execution and communication skills.
This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and involves a blend of strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.

- Written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, construction crews and project team members.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail skills.
- Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule.
- Dependability, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to travel within the Northern California region.
- Qualified Stormwater Practitioner (QSP) Certification or ability to obtain certification within 1-2 years.
- Field work experience (site inspections).
- Writing, problem‑solving skills and a commitment to producing high‑quality deliverables.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $70,000 - $80,000
This position will remain open until a qualified candidate has been selected.
