Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (PE) in our Roseville, CA office supporting our geotechnical engineering practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks.
Responsibilities- Oversee Geotechnical Engineering Project Budget and Schedule
- Supervise field and laboratory sampling and testing
- Conduct field and laboratory work as required
- Contract/Negotiate projects with vendors and clients
- Lead Construction Materials Testing and Forensic Projects
- Perform construction observations and oversee quality assurance testing of civil works projects
- Approve vendor invoices and build T&M invoices
- Review geologic research/geotechnical reports by others
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports and other engineering studies
- Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and pavement design
- Review lab and field data from others
- Ensure timely report delivery
- Handle client interactions and respond to RFIs
- Pertinent engineering degree
- Professional Civil Engineer certification in the State of California
- Must read, write, speak and comprehend English
- Must communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate for reading printed information and computer screen
- Frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted throughout the shift
- Field work including hand-augers, infiltration tests, logging and sampling of soil borings as needed
- Laboratory work involving lifting and moving soil samples and lab equipment, sieving soils and aggregates as needed
Salary range is $90,000 to $110,000. Compensation considers a wide range of factors, including skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. An incentive bonus program may also be available.
