Location:

US West Region; this position can be located in any of our offices in CA or AZ
. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with the skills to assist in the delivery of highways, interchanges, local roads, roundabouts, trails / active transportation, bridges, and other vital improvements. This position will be networked through our offices across the West Region.

• Perform Engineering Design tasks: roadway and transportation projects from preliminary to final design. Design tasks include geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, and typical cross-sections.
• Assist:
  Cost Estimates, reports and technical memos
• Improvement/Innovation:
  Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
• Engineering Standards Specification:
  Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.
• Knowledge Management System:
  Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
• Client & Customer Management (External):
  Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
• Data Collection and Analysis:
  Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Engineering Solutions Design:
  Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
• Personal Capability Building:
  Develop own capabilities through assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
• Technical Developments Recommendation:
  Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.
• Project Management:
  Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Minimum 4 years of experience
• Possession of an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate, PE or ability to get PE in 12 months preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD

Salary Range: $80,000-$133,000 based on experience.
