• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. The position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk works two shifts: the morning shift begins with replenishment in a specifically assigned area, and throughout the shift assists customers and maintains the cleanliness of the department.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store and includes physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
