Research and Development Technician at Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Research and Development Technician for a pharmaceutical manufacturer located in southwest Houston.

• Execute formulation and process development experiments for oral liquids, semi-solids, and suppositories dosage forms.
• Prepare laboratory- and pilot-scale batches in accordance with approved protocols and batch records.
• Operate R&D and pilot-scale equipment, including mixers, homogenizers, mills, and filling equipment.
• Perform routine in-process and physical testing (e.g., pH, viscosity, appearance, weight, density).
• Support stability studies, including sample preparation, pulls, storage, and documentation.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks (paper or electronic) in compliance with GMP and data integrity requirements.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and good laboratory practices at all times.
• Support investigations, deviations, and corrective and preventive actions as needed.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, equipment calibration status, and inventory control.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred.
• Previous experience in an R&D and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, SOPs, GMPs, and FDA regulations.
• Ability to work with MS Word and Excel and capable of writing reports and performing data entry.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Contract-to-Hire

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $20-24 per hour
