Concrete Laborer

Application Instructions

McNamara Companies is looking for a skilled concrete laborer to join our concrete services. The ideal candidate will have highway heavy, curb and gutter experience. This is a union position. This position is intended for the 2026 season starting in or around April.

Pay: $44.00/hour - based on union scale

Position Description

Position Description:

• Prepare sites for concrete work including form layout, digging, grading and compacting
• Operates tampers, jackhammers, saws, drills, and other necessary tools
• Shovel concrete in accordance with the foreman's directions
• Strip forms after concrete has set, and clean job site to satisfactory condition
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL - Class A strongly preferred.
• Ability to work collectively as a team and independently.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Positive attitude, willing to learn, and gets things done
• Maintains order and structure to their daily schedule
• Have a high regard for safety standards
• Ability to work in the outdoor elements surrounded by heavy equipment and loud noises
• Must be extremely vigilant on observing surroundings due to moving equipment
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work everyday
• Ability to work throughout the entire season, mid
  - April to November

Additional Information:

• Exposure to outdoor work environments under varying conditions.
• Ability to work in high-paced, dynamic surroundings and swift decision-making.
• Ability to lift various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. frequently.
• Frequent travel between job sites.
