Position Description

Job Summary:

McNamara Contracting, a McNamara Company, is seeking an eager mechanically inclined Asphalt Plant Laborer with a CDL-A to join our team. As an Asphalt Plant Laborer your key responsibility will be to keep the asphalt plant mechanically healthy, safe and clean.

Position Description:

• Conduct daily plant maintenance including welding, torching, greasing, and maintenance conveyors, drums and other plant equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment
• Assist asphalt lab by obtaining samples from job sites
• Haul asphalt oil from tank farm to plant with tractor trailer tanker
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Operate water truck when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of asphalt plant including sweeping and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Requirements:

• A valid CDL class A
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work collectively as a team and independently.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions

This position is part of a union with the starting range from $41.37 to $44/hour to start. This position averages 65-70 hours per week, Monday - Saturday during the busy season.
