Position Title: Data Center Project Manager

Location: Rosemount, MN

Clearance Requirements: None

Position Status: Contract

Pay Rate: $55/hr - $57/hr on W2

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead mission-critical construction initiatives, with a strong focus on data center infrastructure and large-scale structured cabling projects. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and stakeholder communication.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven construction professional with deep knowledge of data center environments, construction methodologies, and change management. This position requires on-site support Monday through Friday, with flexibility for after-hours and weekend work as project needs require.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of data center construction projects from planning through closeout
  • Enforce and lead all safety protocols, processes, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Leverage project data, metrics, and reporting tools to support informed decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Identify scope changes and implement effective change management best practices
  • Oversee multiple project delivery methods including GMP, lump sum, cost-plus, T&M, unit price, and design-build
  • Apply construction accounting principles to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Prepare and present project updates, risk assessments, and performance reports to stakeholders
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment and execution
  • Utilize construction technology platforms to enhance visibility, quality, and safety performance
  • Resolve complex project issues, conflicts, and constraints in fast-paced environments

Required Skills / Education:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction project management or leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing data center and/or structured cabling projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, estimating, engineering best practices, and quality controls
  • Solid knowledge of construction accounting, cost forecasting, and financial controls
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, prioritize resources, and meet aggressive timelines
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executives, technical teams, vendors, and clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and construction platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Textura, or similar tools

Preferred Certifications (or willingness to obtain):

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required within 6 months if not already certified)
  • BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer)
  • BICSI RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
