Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Rosemead, CA
. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience building APIs, data integrations, and AI/LLM workflows, with strong skills in Python and Azure platforms.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Build and operate APIs, MCP integrations, and AI/LLM‑based workflows across products.
• Implement LLM/RAG patterns thoughtfully with proper guardrails, execution limits, and performance controls.
• Ensure full observability of systems including metrics, logs, and distributed traces.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization across pipelines and workflows.
• Write and maintain strong unit and integration tests, upholding high code quality and security standards.

Desired

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Foundry and Python.
• Experience building APIs and data integrations.
• Familiarity with LLM/RAG implementation patterns and AI workflows (preferred).

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.24 per hour
